Glenn Burkey has "been there, done that". At the age of 32, Glenn bought his first company that had annual sales of $500,000.00. In four years, he increased sales to over $20 million in today’s dollars. Then he founded a company and in four years reached sales exceeding $12 million in today’s dollars. Glenn went on to found two more companies before retiring from the business world. In all those years, there was no such thing as a "Business Coach". Throughout his time as a small business owner, Glenn made many mistakes and spent countless sleepless nights struggling alone to make the right business decisions.
A business person takes input from his accountant, his lawyer, his banker, his friends, his spouse, and his fellow business associates, then he tries to make a proper business decision. Glenn says that being in business is like being in a football game. YOU are the football team trying to win. You have referees to settle disputes (lawyers). You have the score keepers (accountants). Glenn had the opportunity of being coached in business in 2008 and 2009 while being employed as a consultant at a consulting/engineering firm. He absolutely fell in love with the idea of coaching to help the small to medium sized business, so much so that he contacted the "Professional Business Coaches Alliance" in Canton, Ohio and made provisions to become a Licensed Professional Business Coach.
